Introducing Sponsors and Organizers

When we started to explore the possibility of a U2Charist worship experience, we were clear that it wasn't just about the music (although the music is very powerful!). And we didn't want it to be a novelty worship experience.
Our conversations and prayers continued to bring us back to the message - justice for the poor and oppressed. As Bono and U2 sing, "where you live should not decide whether you live or whether you die."

Our purpose became helping people learn about the promise of the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) and the possibilities that emerge when people connect with ONE common voice...VOICES AGAINST POVERTY.

And so we reached out to other groups for help and encouragement...to add more voices to ours.

Protestant Campus Ministry at Chapel House
"Cornerstone" Protestant Campus Ministry provides a place for students to make friends, explore spirituality, and make a difference in the world.

Albany Area Lutheran Cluster
Lutheran churches in the Albany area work together in a variety of ministries to respond to people in need. Member congregations are:

Capital Area Council of Churches (CACC)
CACC is an eccumenical fellowship of some 85 churches working together to respond to needs in the Capital District. Their activities include CROP Hunger Walk, Emergency Homeless Shelter, Peace and Justice Forums.

Capital Region Theological Center (CRTC)
CRTC provides theological education to strengthen and enhance spiritual life, continue learning, and discover new resources and visions for ministry.
